Medium Voltage Cold Applied Silicon Rubber Bushing Boot

DESCRIPTIONS

Medium Voltage Cold Applied Silicone Rubber bushing boot are used on screened or rubber insulated cables of 7.2 to 17.5 kV. Cold applied bushing boot is designed for use on either single or three core cables from 35 up to 400mm2, up to a maximum system voltage of 17.5 kV. The Bushing Boot can accommodate bushings with diameters between 30-70 mm.
Compaq System now offer our own universal medium voltage cold applied bushing protection boot for switchgear and transformer. Manufactured from high grade silicone with excellent non tracking and erosion resistance, the boot is very flexible and just one size covers right angle or straight connections for cable size 35-400mm2.

PERFORMANCE TESTS

For practical reasons, it is permissible to carry out all tests with terminations shrouded with barrier boots in a specified three-pole cable end box under consideration of the creepage lengths and clearance.
